King's Commissioner Jaap Smit Visits the Municipality of Voorschoten

King's Commissioner Jaap Smit paid an official visit to the municipality of Voorschoten yesterday.

Mayor Nadine Stemerdink welcomed the King’s Commissioner at the former Silver Factory. The Commissioner then met with the Municipal Executive. He also looked back on the train accident of April 4 with various stakeholders.

Realism and Social Responsibility

Afterward, the commissioner visited the temporary COA facility, where status holders are being housed. Finally, at Theehuis Jansland, he met with enthusiastic students who served apple pie and spoke with the party leaders of the city council. “Voorschoten is a beautiful municipality that demonstrates a sense of realism and social responsibility during these complex times,” said Jaap Smit.
