Coalition Agreement to Be Presented to the City Council on June 18
At the special council meeting on June 18, PRO, VVD, and D66 will present the final coalition agreement for the municipality of Voorschoten. The proposed aldermen will also be appointed at that same meeting.
The coalition agreement titled “Making Choices Together for a Better Voorschoten” sets out the ambitions of the parties forming the coalition for a safe, socially inclusive, and green Voorschoten; for the construction of affordable housing; for educational facilities; for quality public services and a favorable business climate; and for providing opportunities to all residents of Voorschoten.
Portfolio Allocation
The parties forming the new administration are nominating Rachèl van Hellemondt (PRO) as alderwoman with responsibility for Social Affairs, Public Health, Spatial Planning, and Sports. Pieter Varekamp (VVD) is the nominee for alderman of Finance, Waste Management, Municipal Real Estate, and Regional Affairs. Esther Mieremet (D66) is being nominated as alderwoman for the Economy, Energy, and Sustainability, as well as Education and Culture.
