Central Election Commission Certifies Election Results

At a meeting this morning, the Central Election Board finalized the results of the municipal elections. An official report detailing the Central Election Board’s proceedings has been drawn up; you can download it at the bottom of this page. This report records the number of votes received by each party and each candidate. It also lists which candidates won a seat through preferential votes. Before the 21 elected council members are admitted to the city council, their credentials will first be reviewed. If these are found to be in order, the elected council members will be admitted on March 29. On March 30, they will be sworn in and can officially begin their work as council members.
