Carbide shooting
Carbide shooting involves setting off a gas explosion using carbide and water. This produces loud bangs and is dangerous. Carbide shooting is prohibited in the municipality of Voorschoten. This is stated in the General Municipal By-law (APV). It is not permitted to do this in public spaces or on private property.
Bonfires
Large bonfires are prohibited in Voorschoten.
A cozy, small atmospheric fire in a fire basket is permitted. Please only do this in your own front or backyard and not on public roads.
Please note:
- Keep a sufficient distance from buildings, the road, and other people's belongings.
- Only burn clean wood.
- Do not burn waste.
- Do not use flammable liquids such as methylated spirits or gasoline.
