Roosenhorst Neighborhood in Voorschoten Nominated for the 2023 Rhineland Architecture Prize

The Roosenhorst neighborhood in Voorschoten, a small-scale residential area in the historic cultural landscape of the Duivenvoorde Corridor, has been nominated for the Rijnland Architecture Prize (RAP071). Today, RAP Leiden announced the longlist of projects eligible for this year’s prize.

The longlist features 25 exceptional completed designs, all from the eight participating municipalities.

A challenging task

Jury Chair Ton Venhoeven is impressed by the selection and looks forward to tackling, together with his fellow jury members, “the challenging task” of determining the winner of this biennial award: “The longlist features a wonderful and wide range of diverse projects from the region. From the transformation and sustainability upgrades of historic monuments, to a new connecting road as part of a high-quality developed landscape, to distinctive residential buildings with diverse programs in various settings. I look forward to working with my fellow jury members to assess how the nominated projects contribute to the challenges of change that we, as a society, are facing.”
