Mayor Stemerdink has officially become a resident of Voorschot
Mayor Nadine Stemerdink officially became a resident of Voorschoten last week. She has since moved from her home in Leidschendam-Voorburg to a home in the village where she was appointed mayor nearly a year ago. Mayor Stemerdink: “I’m happy to now be living in beautiful Voorschoten. Finally, I can ride my bike to work again and do my grocery shopping in the village.”
A mayor is legally required to reside in the municipality of which he or she is mayor. Of course, this is not possible immediately upon appointment. For this reason, a mayor has one year to take up residence in the municipality.
