Mayor Stemerdink Gives an Introductory Lesson on World War II

Every year, elementary school students participate in the Remembrance Day ceremony on May 4 in Voorschoten. This year, it’s the turn of the 8th-grade class at Nuts Elementary School. In the lead-up to the ceremony, Mayor Nadine Stemerdink visited the classroom on Thursday, April 21, to tell the children all about it.

During the Remembrance Day ceremony on Wednesday, May 4, Mayor Stemerdink, along with two students from the same 8th-grade class at the Nuts school, will lay a wreath at the memorial in Voorschoten. Two children will also recite a poem during the ceremony.
