Mayor Aptroot Buys Pastries for the Food Bank
This is an old post.
Mayor Charlie Aptroot has purchased ten pastry bars for the Voorschoten/Leiden/Wassenaar/Haaglanden Food Bank. In doing so, he is supporting the St. Nicholas campaign organized by Verhoog Bakery in Voorschoten. For €3.95, customers can buy a pastry bar, which will be donated to the food bank. The bars normally cost €5.95.
Mayor Aptroot: “In this way, we’re working together to ensure that the Sinterklaas celebration has a festive touch, even for families who are currently struggling financially. I therefore hope that many residents of Voorschoten will take part in this heartwarming initiative.”
