The Building Permit Office is here to answer your questions about construction and tree removal. We respond in various ways. Whenever possible, we send our responses digitally or schedule an appointment if further explanation or research is needed. You can also schedule a “ Make an appointment ” with an experienced colleague (case manager), who will review your construction file in detail.

Apply for an environmental licence

Home - Omgevingsloket (overheid.nl) On this national website, which features a question tree, you can apply for your building and tree-cutting permits. You can also check whether a licence is required.

View environmental licence (pending)

Upon application, processing, and decision-making regarding an environmental licence / tree-felling licence, there is the possibility to view them. These documents will be sent digitally via email. This service is free of charge.

View construction drawing(s) (building archive)

You can request / view construction drawings / floor plans of properties. These documents will be sent digitally via email within 5 working days. You must pay directly online via the application form. The costs amount to €15.20 (2025). You can request construction drawing(s) for 1 address at a time.

Complex and regular construction inquiries

Do you have substantive questions about your environmental licence? You can speak with a case manager about your construction plans, application, and the processing of your environmental licence. The case manager has experience with construction files and will need to review your specific file.
