Social assistance, report change
Changes in your personal circumstances may affect your Social assistance benefit. You are required to report these changes to the municipality immediately.
How does it work?
The amount of your “ Social assistance benefit ” depends on your personal situation. The municipality determines the amount of your benefit based on the information you have provided. If this information is no longer accurate, you may receive too much or too little money.
Examples of changes you must report
Work and education:
- You are starting or stopping work.
- You are going to work more or fewer hours.
- You are going to pursue education or training.
Living arrangements:
- You are moving in together.
- Someone is coming to live with you.
- You own a house abroad.
Children:
- If your children are listed as living with you enrolled , but they are moving away.
- When your adult child stops their education or studies.
Other income:
- If you have won the lottery.
- If you have received an inheritance.
What to do?
- You must report any changes as soon as possible using the municipality's form.
- If you fail to report changes or do not report them immediately, the municipality may issue a fine. The municipality can also temporarily reduce or stop your benefit.
- Any money you have received in excess must be fully repaid.
