Social assistance benefits help you cover your basic living expenses, such as rent, food, and beverages. You can apply for these benefits if your income is too low to cover these expenses on your own.
- You must apply for social assistance benefits at the UWV Werkbedrijf
- First, you must register online with the UWV Werkbedrijf as both a job seeker and an applicant for social assistance benefits. So, this is a dual registration! Select "Register with Werkbedrijf" to register as a job seeker.
- Next, select "Apply for Benefits" to submit your application for social assistance benefits
- Both registration processes are done online and therefore not at the UWV Werkbedrijf office itself!
- You need a DigiD to submit/register your application with the UWV
Please contact UWV Werkbedrijf by phone within 3 days of registering to confirm your registration and submit your application. Contact information is included in the confirmation email you will receive after completing your online registration. The municipality will then contact you to schedule an appointment. Please bring all the supporting documents listed on the form to the appointment.
