Social assistance, benefit
Social assistance benefit s allow you to cover your basic living expenses, such as rent, food, and beverages. You can apply for benefits if your income is too low to cover these expenses on your own.
- You must apply for social assistance benefits at the UWV Werkbedrijf
- First, you must register online with the UWV Werkbedrijf as both a job seeker and an applicant for a " Social assistance benefit." So, this is a dual registration! Select "enrol " (Register as a job seeker) at Werkbedrijf to register as a job seeker.
- Next, select "Apply for Benefits" to submit your application at Social assistance benefit
- Both EN enrolments are done digitally and therefore not at the UWV Werkbedrijf itself!
- You need DigiD to report/register your application with the UWV
Within 3 days of registering, contact the UWV Werkbedrijf by phone to submit your “ enrolment ” and application. Contact information is included in the confirmation email you will receive after completing your online registration. The municipality will then contact you to schedule an appointment. Please bring all the supporting documents listed on the form to the appointment.
