Paving Work on Veurseweg
The municipality of Voorschoten will soon start replacing asphalt paving on the Veurseweg. The work on the Veurseweg will be carried out in week 26 (Wednesday 29 June and Thursday 30 June).
Which work takes place when?
The asphalt work will take place on the Veurseweg between the intersection near the Hoogvliet markt up to and including the Karel Doormanlaan/Starrenburglaan intersection; see the drawings at the bottom of this page for more information. This work will be carried out on Wednesday 29 June between 21:00 and 6:00 and on Thursday 30 June between 21:00 and 6:00. On Thursday 30 June between 6:00 and 21:00, the Veurseweg will be open to all traffic as usual.
Accessibility of residences (or businesses)
During the work, residences or businesses will be inaccessible or less easily accessible. Through traffic heading towards Leidschendam will be closed off. Drawings with a complete overview of the roadblocks and detours can be viewed at the bottom of this page. Residences and businesses will be accessible during the work on 29 and 30 June as follows.
- Papelaan: The one-way traffic on Papelaan will be suspended during the construction work. As a result, Papelaan will remain open to all traffic even during the construction work.
- Essenlaan/Roucooppark: During the construction work, the red-and-white pole near Essenlaan No. 11 will be removed. As a result, Essenlaan and Roucooppark will remain accessible to all traffic via the bike path leading to Cor van Osnabruggelaan.
- Woelwijklaan: During the construction work, the red-and-white pole near Woelwijklaan will be removed. As a result, Woelwijklaan will remain accessible to all traffic via the bike path leading to Douw van der Kraplaan.
- Rouwkooplaan: During construction, Rouwkooplaan will be accessible via Starrenburglaan. Traffic will be rerouted via Koninklijke Marinelaan.
- Peppellaan: During construction, Peppellaan will be accessible via Starrenburglaan. Traffic will be rerouted via Koninklijke Marinelaan.
More information
The construction work will cause some noise. Bad weather may cause the work to take longer or be postponed. Veurseweg will remain accessible to emergency and first-response services. The municipality advises residents and businesses to park their cars outside the work zone (Veurseweg, house numbers 20 through 114). You can put out your “ Waste container ” on the usual collection days.
