Arjen Verkaik, Explorer in Voorschoten

As the largest political group, the VVD has proposed that an informateur oversee the exploratory phase. Following consultations with the other party leaders, Mr. Arjen Verkaik has been appointed to this role.

In the coming period, Mr. Verkaik will serve as an informateur to explore the possibilities for forming a “ executive board ” in Voorschoten. Verkaik is an independent consultant in the field of labor market policy. Until 2018, he served as “ Alderman ” in the municipality of Velsen for twelve years, where he also lives. In his early years, until the second grade of elementary school, he lived in Voorschoten.

The informateur has been tasked with engaging in discussions with all political parties regarding the possibilities for a broad coalition in order to contribute to stable governance. He will present the outcome of these exploratory talks, along with a recommendation, to the “ municipal council .” At that time, the current status will also be shared publicly.
