Waste Collection Fee

Every household in Voorschoten pays a waste collection fee. This fee covers the collection and processing of household waste.

How does it work?

You must pay the waste collection fee even if you generate little or no household waste. The revenue from this fee is used to cover the costs of collecting and processing household waste.

The rate depends on the type of residence and the number of people in your household. A distinction is made between single-person households and multi-person households.

What should I do?

Each year, you will receive a tax assessment from the Gouwe-Rijnland Tax Cooperation (abbreviation: BSGR). This assessment states the amount you must pay and the deadline for payment. The waste collection fee is included in this assessment. You can find the waste collection fee ordinance in the government’s regulations database at .

The amount on the tax assessment covers the entire tax year. If you move to Voorschoten during the year, your registration date determines your liability. If you move to another municipality, you will pay through the month of your deregistration and will automatically receive a reduction. If you move within Voorschoten, nothing changes.

More information is available on the BSGR website at .
