Waste Collection Schedule
The Voorschoten Waste Calendar app indicates when the municipality will empty containers in your street, including in 2026.
In week 52, the municipality will collect additional residual waste instead of food scraps, organic waste, and old paper and cardboard.
In week 1, the municipality will collect residual waste and old paper and cardboard.
Waste containers
On New Year's Eve, the municipality will lock all underground and above-ground collection containers during the course of the day.
Street litter bins closed
Starting Monday, December 22, the municipality will lock the street litter bins. Starting Monday, January 5, the municipality will reopen the street litter bins.
Collection containers closed
On Wednesday, December 31, the municipality will lock all collection containers in Voorschoten. The glass containers and the old paper and cardboard containers will be closed from 1 o'clock in the afternoon. The residual waste containers will be closed from 6 o'clock in the evening.
On Thursday, January 1, the municipality will reopen all containers.
Opening hours recycling center
The Avalex waste drop-off point will close earlier on Wednesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 31: at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The waste drop-off point is closed on Thursday, December 25, Friday, December 26, and Thursday, January 1.
The municipal waste collection center on Koninklijke Marinelaan will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 31. You will not be able to drop off Household Hazardous Waste, electrical appliances, or mattresses on those days.
