Voorschoten Municipality’s 2024–2028 Noise Action Plan Adopted

On December 3, the City Council adopted the draft Noise Action Plan. The Action Plan specifies acceptable levels of road traffic noise. It also includes proposals for measures to reduce noise pollution.

This Action Plan, which must be drawn up every five years in accordance with the Environment Act, aims to reduce noise pollution and thereby ensure a healthy living environment. It focuses specifically on noise from road traffic on municipal roads. The action plan includes proposals for measures, such as the use of noise-reducing asphalt during roadwork. Another possible measure is the establishment of 30 km/h zones.

Available for inspection

The Noise Action Plan was available for public review from July 12 through September 13, 2024. No comments were submitted, so the Noise Action Plan was adopted without changes. Interested parties can view the plan at the bottom of this page.
