VS-1145-2 Noise Nuisance Exemption with eHerkenning

It is not permitted to make unnecessary noise in the municipality. You may need a noise exemption for certain types of work—for example, if you plan to use construction equipment, a generator, or sound equipment.

Good to know:

To ensure better and faster service, the municipality requests, at a minimum:

• Any activities you plan to do that could cause noise pollution.
• The date and time when you may cause noise pollution.
• Site plan.
• Acoustic Report.

Think of the neighbors

To minimize the inconvenience to nearby residents, please be sure to do the following:

• You must inform nearby residents in advance of when and why the noise disturbance will occur.
• You should minimize instances of noise pollution as much as possible.
• If there's another way that causes less noise pollution, please do it that way.
