VS-1125-1 Application for an Exemption to Build a Fire Using DigiD

Progress
6%

Important Information

You are not allowed to light a fire outdoors without permission. If you still wish to do so—for example, for an Easter bonfire, a bonfire, or to burn yard waste or wood—you must apply for an exemption from the municipality.

Fees: See the Fee Regulation.
To ensure better and faster processing, the municipality requires, at a minimum:
  • The type of waste that is incinerated.
  • Size of the bonfire in cubic meters.
  • The location of the fire.
  • The date, start time, and duration of the fire.
  • In addition, you must also attach a site plan of the location and a site plan of the immediate surroundings.
Please note:

You do not need to apply for an exemption if you are using candles, torches, fire pits, or patio heaters, or if you are lighting a fire for cooking, baking, or roasting, such as on a barbecue.
