VS-1009-1 Correcting Incorrect Personal Information Using DigiD

The municipality maintains records of its residents in the Basic Register of Persons (BRP). If your personal information is not recorded correctly, you can ask the municipality to correct it. This is also known as a correction request. You must submit this request to the municipality where you are registered.

To ensure your application is processed more efficiently and quickly, the municipality asks that you provide the following, if available:

• A document containing your incorrect information.
• An official document containing accurate information, such as a marriage certificate.
