VS-1054-10 Parking space for people with disabilities without DigiD and identification

A disabled parking space is a parking space for people with a physical disability. If you are having trouble parking on your street, you can apply for a personal disabled parking space near your home.

You are eligible for a personal disabled parking space under the following conditions:

• You have a disabled parking permit, or you are in the process of obtaining one and would like to secure a parking space at the same time.
• Parking in the immediate vicinity of your home or destination is often not possible because the available parking spaces are usually occupied. If the walking distance is less than 50 meters, the accessible parking space will be provided regardless of the parking situation.
• Road safety and traffic flow must not be disrupted by the construction of a disabled parking space
• It is not possible to build a parking space on your own property, such as in your yard. 

Good to know:

• You must already have a European parking permit for people with disabilities.
• When you apply for a parking space, please provide your license plate number and clearly indicate where you want the parking space to be located.
• The application for a parking space will be processed within 8 weeks. If you are allocated a space, you will receive a letter requesting payment of the legal fee and the costs associated with the construction and removal (if the space is relocated) of the parking space. Once payment is received, the parking space will be constructed.
