You need a street vendor permit if you want to sell goods or food from a stall or cart, such as a fish stall or an ice cream stand. This licence allows you to set up your stall on or along a public road.

Good to know:

• A pitch licence is different from a markt licence or a hawking licence. You need a markt licence if you want a pitch at a day market, weekly market or annual market. You need a hawking licence if you sell goods on the street or door-to-door. Hawking means that you sell your goods at a different location each time.
• If the municipality does not own the land where you wish to have the stall, you must also obtain a “ authorisation ” from the landowner.

To ensure that your application is processed more efficiently and quickly, the municipality requires the following at a minimum:

• If you are submitting the application on behalf of a company, please have the company details at hand.
• Which goods or services you are selling.
• Where you want the pitch to be located, including a site plan. You must attach this as an attachment, please have it ready digitally.
• On which day or part of the day you would like to use the parking space, and the date on which you would like the licence to take effect.
