For example, if you want to raise money for a charity, you need a permit from the municipality.

Good to know:

  • You can view the national fundraising schedule on the CBF (Central Bureau for Fundraising) website. You may not hold a fundraiser when national fundraising events are scheduled. Therefore, be sure to check the fundraising schedule in advance and use it to set a date for your fundraiser or collection.
  • There is no charge for this.
To ensure that your application is processed more efficiently and quickly, the municipality requires the following at a minimum:
  • The name of the organization organizing the fundraiser.
  • A description of the collection.
  • The period during which you would like to hold the collection.
  • In addition, the municipality also requires that you demonstrate that you will spend the funds raised in a responsible manner for the specified purpose.
